“As a result of Western sanctions, the Russian army began to receive weapons of reduced quality and accuracy in an attempt to maintain quantitative indicators (of arms production),” said Danilov.

He added that Ukraine's approach is to focus on quality and advanced technologies, and not on mass mobilization.

At the same time, Ukraine’s Military Intelligence spokesman Vadym Skibitskyi reported that Russia continues to produce missiles, but the substitution of imported components and simplified production mean these are “completely different” weapons.

Skibitskyi noted that simplified production, first of all, impacts high-precision weapons, and as a result, “they already cease to be high-precision (weapons).”
